Artist for over forty years and influenced by Portinari, Di Cavalcanti and Picasso, São Paulo born Edina Síkora combines the contemporary and naive styles on her works, focusing on the simplicity of the brazilian people and their colourful soul. At the same time, she portraits the duality of the human nature on the splitted faces of her characters.

 

Having many works abroad and inside Brazil, Edina Síkora has participated of many exhibitions along her career.

 

On her new phasis, the artist is looking forward to expand even more her borders through the divulgation of her work, bringing the simplicity of the human nature, so necessary in these times when the reality becomes more and more challenger.
